WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) criticized the Administration for incompetently implementing the healthcare law and refusing to inform Americans about the potential impact of the King v. Burwell case:

“The Administration had another chance today to tell Americans that the Supreme Court may soon rule that the Administration broke the law by extending them a subsidy to purchase Obamacare coverage.  Once again, the Administration chooses to mislead and manipulate Americans.

“The Administration also added to its record of incompetence by admitting that it provided almost one million people with incorrect tax information about their 2014 subsidies.  This tax filing season is the first time that many Americans will learn of the individual mandate penalty and feel its pain. The new special enrollment period won’t hide the fact that Obamacare costs too much and makes it harder for Americans to get the care they need.

“Republicans are working to give Americans relief from Obamacare.  We are committed to helping the millions harmed by the law and providing them access to affordable care.”
