Senate Passes Barrasso Amendment to Protect Water and Property Rights

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), successfully included an amendment to Senate Budget Resolution, S. Con. Res. 11, that limits the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from adopting an expanded and broad regulatory definition of “Waters of the United States.” The amendment passed the Senate by a vote of 59 to 40.

Barrasso, Paulsen Introduce Family Health Care Flexibility Act

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and U.S. Representative Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.) introduced legislation repealing Obamacare restrictions on health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA). The Family Health Care Flexibility Act repeals the part of the health care law that sets a $2,500 FSA contribution cap and prohibits HSA and FSA participants from using their own account dollars to purchase over-the-counter medicines without a prescription.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) sent a letter to Energy Secretary Moniz expressing serious concern about the recent announcements that Daniel Poneman, former Deputy Secretary of Energy, will join Centrus Energy Corp., formerly known as USEC Inc., as President and Chief Executive Officer, and the Traxys Group as a member of its Board of Directors. Under Mr. Poneman’s tenure, the Department of Energy (DOE) gave away significant quantities of publicly-owned uranium for the benefit of USEC.

WY DEQ Director Parfitt Testifies Before Senate on EPA’s Proposed CO2 Emissions Rule
