WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) responded to Senator Dick Durbin’s (D-IL) surprising statement that Republicans should work to change and improve Obamacare:

“For over three years, Republicans have sounded the alarm about Obamacare and worked to help more Americans get affordable, high quality health care. Now that the President’s health care law is unraveling, Democrats are finally looking for a way to stop this totally predictable train wreck. 

“I agree with Senator Durbin we do need to change and improve the law – but the problem is much bigger than the failed employer mandate. Fixing this one piece will not fix this failed law.

“We should repeal the entire law and start over in a step by step process. We can work together to reduce costs and actually help families get the care they need, from a doctor they choose, at a price they can afford.”
