WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) issued the following statement after voting against a Democrat bill that would have legalized unlimited, on-demand abortions.

“Today I voted to protect life. Democrats once again declared their support for unlimited, on-demand abortions up until the moment of birth. The Democrats’ radical bill would have even forced Wyoming taxpayers to fund abortions nationwide regardless of their personal beliefs.

“Legalizing abortion on demand, for any reason, at any time, is wrong. I will continue to oppose policies that indiscriminately end the lives of unborn children.

“We must make sure every child in this nation has an opportunity to succeed. That starts with protecting the unborn and the right to life, which the Democrats simply refuse to do.”
