WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals released its ruling on Obamacare.

“The Fifth Circuit finally ruled what we all knew: The individual mandate is unconstitutional. Now it will be up to the district court to find what parts of the law survive.

“Americans have seen that Obamacare has failed to live up to its promises. This ruling highlights the need to modernize and personalize health care for every American.

“Mandates don’t work. Most Democrats are pushing a one-size-fits-all government-run health care system fueled by higher taxes. Republicans are focused on protecting people with pre-existing conditions and lowering the cost of care. We continue working to reduce the cost of prescriptions and expand affordable health care choices.”
