Barrasso Bill Updates 911 Call Centers for National Parks

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) introduced the Safer Parks Act today to update 911 emergency call centers inside the National Park System (NPS). The bill would direct the U.S. Department of the Interior to develop a plan to upgrade NPS 911 call centers with Next Generation 911 (NG911) technology.

Senators Barrasso, Hassan, Cortez Masto, and Blackburn Introduce Bipartisan Bill to Support Rural Hospitals

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) introduced the Rural Hospital Flexibility Act, which would permanently reauthorize and modernize the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program. This program provides states with funding to support rural hospitals through training, technical support, and equipment for improving health care for patients, including emergency medical care.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A bill honoring the life and legacy of former Shoshoni Postmaster Dessie A. Bebout passed the United States House of Representatives this week and is on its way to the President’s desk for approval. The legislation was introduced in the Senate by U.S. Senators John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), and Tom Carper (D-Del.), where it passed unanimously in April of this year. The bill then progressed to the House, where it was supported by U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo.) and unanimously passed.
